I am a photographer, sketcher, and watercolor painter. I offer training on learning how to use your camera more efficiently as well as on sketching and watercolor painting. In addition, I sell originals and prints of my watercolor paintings.
My second week didn't live up to my first. I didn't take many shots during week one but I was happy with what I got. I took even fewer shots during the past week....
Instagram is still a solution in search of a purpose for me. Over the past two years, I have simply been posting my daily photos on my Instagram feed, @billbooz...However, I created another Instagram account with the name @boozphotolearning. This one is a bit easier in that I know I want to post images that help viewers with their photography.
Last Wednesday I took down my flashes and replaced them with my constant light fluorescent bulbs so I could start recording video for a few episodes of my Photography & Technology Tools series.
My approach this year to a photography project is to set a theme or constraint for each week and then make images to match that. For my first week, I selected “Many Views of a Book” as my theme to guide my image making. My idea at this early stage of a new approach to a year-long project is to take any number of images during the week around the selected theme
2016 was, photographically, a very good year for me...Regarding photography itself, I got really serious about learning how to record video with my Olympus OM-D E-M1 and my iPhone.
I love PVC pipe! When you think you need wood, think PVC. I have made many contraptions out of PVC pipe. Some I've designed myself to meet a specific need, like the one I just made, others I've made from someone else's design.
Kallmünz is a quaint little town about a half hour or less north of Regensburg. My first hostess, Petra (my nephews’ cousin), insisted a stop there at the beginning of my trip when I was driving from Regensburg to Amberg. So I did, but I was not impressed, so I drove on. Well, on my return south at the end of my trip, I decided to take another look.
The previously owned Olympus OM-D E-M5 II I bought arrived last Friday afternoon. I've had five full days plus a couple hours to check it out. Conclusion? I am very happy I decided to put money into this camera body instead of a new lens or two!
